Eyebrow Waxing

Eyebrow waxing is one of the quickest and easiest ways of shaping your eyebrows and an excellent alternative to plucking or shaving. This method is a good fit for everyone unless if you have sensitive skin.

The first thing that needs to be done in eyebrow waxing is to purchase a waxing kit. This is mostly composed of a bottle of wax that may be warmed using hot water and may be applied using a small spatula or applicator.

The wax needs to be warmed to the right temperature and the small spatula is used in applying a wax at the hair growth. A thin layer of wax is applied on the hair growth under the brows and must be applied following the direction of the hair growth (when applying wax on the left eyebrow, the application must be leftwards; when applying wax on the right eyebrow, the application must be rightwards). Please note that the wax applied is a small amount and you must not let it dry. To avoid wax from dripping from the spatula, put in small amounts of wax at the tip of the spatula only. Putting in small amounts of wax on the spatula would also help you not to apply too much wax under your eyebrows too.

With one hand, gently smooth a thin cotton muslin cloth over the waxed area and allow the wax to set. If you are waxing underneath your right eye, gently pull the skin taut using your right hand. With your left hand, quickly pull the muslin cloth with your left hand against the direction of the hair growth. Do the same with the other eyebrow.

Remember that in eyebrow waxing, the application of the wax is the same direction as the hair growth. In removing the muslin cloth, it should be pulled against the direction of the hair growth.
